about
Hello yogi, my name is Iva.
Nice to meet you!
Yoga has been my place to come back to for over eight years. I started teaching after finishing my official training in traditional Hatha yoga at the YogaJi academy in France, in 2021. Later, I’ve studied and practiced with various vinyasa and ashtanga teachers, while staying rooted in a traditional approach to yoga asana in my teaching.
There are two things that I find extremely fascinating about yoga:
1.) From a spiritual point of view: the depth of the practice has no end. There is always a new dimension to discover, an angle to observe from. It is an embodied practice that has the capacity to reflect your strengths, your weaknesses, and deepest truth hidden in plain sight, back at you.
2.) From a scientific point of view: a practice based on the bridge between the body and mind, deeply rooted in the principles of neuroscience and physiology and the science of the mind, showing us how our body affects our thoughts and well being and vice versa. Yoga and its myriad practices offers a tangible path that has the tools to bring clarity into this interconnected system and health into the body.
I strive to create space based on inclusivity, community, and individual guidance, to help you feel supported in your practice. You’ll discover room for observation and introspection, allowing the body to move with the breath, the mind to connect with the present moment.
I guide regular and beginner practitioners alike, while offering a possibility of a physical challenge for those who seek it. You will find a combination of pranayama and asana, with some poses being held up to five breaths in vinyasa classes, and up to several minutes in Hatha classes.
